Who is this for? The ones like me.

One who had ups and downs in income, one who thought everything about money was for other people. Thought that investing was for people who lived in the suburbs and had business meetings.

One that had no interest in finding the highest paying job, but one that was meaningful instead.

To the one who spent all my tips on restaurants and at Target, but didn’t think about making a savings account. Until I found myself (many times) scraping to pay the bills.

There is no “stay on track” when it comes to our lives. There is only the next day and the next season. Our money is the same way. Sometimes life is more expensive than other times, and sometimes we can rest in putting a bit more away for a rainy day.

The advice often portrayed in the financial world is that once you start to manage your money, the trajectory is only upward. But I’ve found it’s more like playing Mario Kart, sometimes you fly off the track, but get back on and keep driving.
