Analog Weekend Ideas!

Hi Friends,

Go analog this summer.

Turn off your phone, delete social media, go on an adventure and enjoy!

When the world can feel too noisy and overwhelming, unplug. For real, try a whole weekend screen-free/phone-free. Prepare for it ahead of time by finding a few things you enjoy doing so much that you won't even notice that you didn't have time to be on your phone or turn on the tv. Here are a few things to try that are budget friendly.

  • Friday - 90's movie night. Not quite screen free, but ad free. Borrow your parents dvd player, find an old favorite movie, go to the store to buy popcorn and candy. Make it an event, without phones in sight.

  • Saturday - Picnic in the park. Make a pasta salad (This one is so good), a deck of card, some iced tea and a couple of friends.

  • Sunday - Farmers Market. Summers are made for fresh produce and fresh flowers. Wander around, try some samples, take it slow, chat with the vendors. Pick up a few ingredients to make something delicious for dinner, even just some fresh bread, cheese and jam.

Make it purposeful to reclaim your time and your attention. What other ideas would be fun to do on a screen-free/phone-free weekend?

P.S.I made this for you!

I've been working on a summer collection for the Simply Minimal Budget Journal.

Inspired by a trip to South Padre Island, Texas, introducing The Vacation Collection. Because we all need a vacation to look forward to when keeping track of our money!

Updates include:

  • Spiral-bound - for a flat-lay
  • Added Budget Calculator monthly
  • Extended lines for weekly Life Spending and Groceries.

Thanks for being here!
