5 ways to stay on track with your money during seasons of change
Does your budgeting and tracking money seem to fall a part in the middle of transitional seasons? My husband, Kyle and I just moved into a new house a few months ago. It felt like we were in the messy middle for a long time. Ready to be settled, and yet lots of unknowns ahead.
Here are a few things to help keep things on track, without taking up too much time or energy during seasons of transition.
1. Make a list of your recurring bills and when they are due.
2. Put your grocery money in a seperate place than your checking account. Use cash or an app that is deticated to only grocery spending.
3. Weekly do a quick review of your bank transactions to get a big picture view of where you are at. Check off any bills that have been paid and note down how much more is due for the month.
4. Don't worry about categorizing almost anything else until you are settled into the new season. Focus on paying the bills, feeding yourself and keeping money in the bank for the unexpected.
5. Have fun and go outside of normal routine! This is the season for convenience premade meals and watching movies on the floor of the living room.
I'd love to hear from you about anything budgeting you want to learn more about.
